The macOS app Bartender, which cleans up/hides menu bar items and which I have been using for years, stopped working reliably a few days ago. It turns out that the app has been bought and it's not entirely clear who the new owner is. Time to take a look at an alternative.

It appears that the Mac app Bartender apparently changed ownership recently without anyone being told.
