Reading that food prices are supposedly easing, looks at bill for today's grocery run. Hmmm.

And no, very little pricey, extravagant treats in that grocery run, mostly just food staples, although I did spring for trying this Japanese coffee ☕.

@LordWoolamaloo No reduction in prices - only the continuing reduction in product sizes / weights.

I look at my shopping laid out on my worktop & realise that despite my bill being consistently almost £30 more these days, I only buy about a third of what I used to. It all now fits in one corner of the worktop, whereas it used to take up the whole thing before I put everything away.

@goo Yep, I only had two bags of groceries, still came to way more than I expected. On plus side the cupboards and freezer are full up, so other than perishables like fresh veg, I don't have to stock up quite so much again for a while, thank smeg!
