@sybren No I was trying to not be rude and state that ignorant people don't know the difference between Artificial intelligence (AI) and Robotics. Though seeing as how you believe I am confused about what my statement implied, allow me to be direct. So that you aren't confused or misinterpreted my meaning.

@AzureCerulean I know what you mean. With a PhD in computer science and electronics as a hobby, I very much know the difference between robotics and algorithms that might be used to control those robotics ;-)
My point is that making this distinction here, for this particular post, serves no purpose other than to be pedantic.
No, pedantic is your reply to a seemingly clear explanation. I find it common that most people are ignorant of technology and the correct terms for it, my point was to dispel that ignorance for those that have/had it.
