The big thing about the #Trump conviction is that even if the Supreme Court were to uphold presidential immunity, it would not apply to #NewYork because he was tried on state charges. “Trump’s entire persona is built around the facade that he is a powerful strongman, impervious to attacks and solely capable of defending his followers.

“Now he stands for election as a convict, a weak man too cowardly to take the stand who was bested by a local district attorney. The totalitarian edifice looks pockmarked.”

How America could vote for this weak, shouty, cry-baby is beyond me.

It's a cult: while no-one may question a cult leader and followers atribute all virtues to him (rarely, her), in fact he may be a worse than average human:
Jim Jones, Marshall Applewhite and Bonnie Nettles (Heaven's Gate), Rajneesh, Bert Potter (Centrepoint), L Ron Hubbard.

@FerdiMagellan @RealJournalism it's not that hard to understand why he got in in 2016, a combo of racism (reaction to Obama), misogyny (Hillary), homophobia (Gay married passed in 2015) and general policy (oil, gun, taxes, etc).
A lot has changed in 8 yrs and he's not shiny and new anymore.
