I really like the single bottom panel option on COSMIC.

Our alpha release gets closer by the day. We had 67 alpha 1 issues this morning. The number isn't necessarily indicative of the work because they're varying degrees of effort but it's still helpful.

@carlrichell I'm a fan of a left panel. The screen has more real estate horizontally than vertically and a left panel keeps the upper right corner for closing maximized windows when window controls are on the right.

@burdickjp I use that layout sometimes as well. It is nice.
