Long shot: Can anyone recommend me structureless harsh noise. I'm doing a really mind-numbing code maintenance task and I need something to blast all thought out of my head

Currently I'm listening to https://impermanence.bandcamp.com/track/ii and if I can't find a good thing to switch to after that I'm going with this YouTube asmr recording of a washing machine

@mcc
Maybe something on https://mynoise.net/ will work for you?
Background Noises • Ambient Sounds • Relaxing Music | myNoise ®

myNoise sets the standard for online background noise machines and interactive soundscapes.

@viq @mcc I was going to suggest this as well. Not a ton of harsh stuff there though. Maybe "demolition site"?

Demolition Noise — Background Noise Blocker

Possibily the only noise generator in the world that effectively blocks the sounds of a nearby construction site!

@mcc I was going to recommend the albums "The Eyes of Stanley Pain" by Download, or “Delìrium Còrdia” by Fantômas, but after hearing a sample of what you're currently listening to, both of those are going to be far too structured 😂

@aluralura Oh this rules actually
@mcc I'd recommend the 4-disc Resolution of Rememberance but I can't find it online and I don't remember where I got it from (it was like a decade ago, website is probably gone). That's just how it goes with noise musicians I guess

@aluralura Interesting!

My first impression was that this sounds lovely on my desktop speakers, but I'd expect it to be awful on head-/earphones (as the stereo channels seem so unrelated). So I plugged in my IEMs (for science), and actually it's still really good! Not sure if my first impression was plain wrong or if there's something going on I haven't comprehended yet :)

@nex If I had to take a wild guess, maybe it's because it was originally on cassette? Like at 4:32 there's a really high pitch but it's kind of wobbly and soft. Some of GA's other stuff also has that quality, so it might just be his flavor of noise.
@mcc How about numbers station recordings? https://archive.org/details/ird059

@mcc Take your laptop outside and listen to the cicadas? 🤣 (if you are anywhere near the Midwest anyway, I got a reading of 86 dB the other day when we went to a park over in Illinois)
@mcc maybe Venta Protesix https://ventaprotesix.bandcamp.com/ ?
There are some cw in the title of some of their song (gore, amputation, sexual assault, …) but maybe it's what you are looking for soundwise?
