@chartgerink do you (or anyone) know how that works, at a protocol level? I know that if I follow account X on server Y, posts by X will show up on my server Z too.

But if I follow a hashtag, that's not bound to that server Y. So, how does my server Z know all the posts with #SRD24 on server Y?

@egonw @chartgerink My understanding is that someone from server X must have interacted (followed?) with at least 1 post from someone on server Y for those to appear when you follow a hashtag. Once that has occurred, the link stays (unless there is blocking/limiting from the server admins).
