I had a Roland Sound Canvas, a Roland SH-101 and a DX7 at the time

my recolllection is a bit blurry TBH, but quite strong so it must be true

I had purchased the Sound Canvas by running away with a housing benefit cheque,
the SH101 was a gift from my brother, and the DX7 borrowed. I just used the presets on it

in the olden days the way to get money was...

move into a house
claim housing benefit
This would take several weeks to come through
when the money comes through.. move out.. and not pay the landlord

I know it sound terrible .. but you could buy a musical instrument... or a van to live in ... etc..
