@ai6yr I should dig out my grandparents' typewriter, thanks.

All I know is that it was put away when my grandma couldn't reliably find any ribbons for it, and at some point its innards got real gummy. In the good old days you could just take it down the street to the typewriter repair shop but I suppose I'm going to have to learn how to do it myself.

@KO4ERE Yeah, I think typewriter repair shops have been gone for decades now... But I may be wrong!

@ai6yr Enshittified google was no help ether, the "closest" repair shop was marked "permanently closed" (then why list it?!) and the street view shows the building bashed down and a Lidl in its place. Oh well time to learn a skill I can use to barter for caps I guess
