Anisse@Serene117 @Patricia it does not :-( the feature was renamed "Private mentions" and they are universally discouraged. I wish they'd completely remove them.
@Aissen @Serene117 this and also that’s why I used the scare quotes, because if you do (which I do all the time apparently) use someone’s @ they are f**ing added to the conversation. Thankfully it’s always been a nice mention on my part. But jeez, imagine it was giving a heads up about someone bad.
