For many years, the European Space Agency has been working on developing methods to free the Earth's orbit from space debris. Part of this initiative is also a treaty between the space-faring nations to leave no more space debris behind. At the European Space Council today, 12 countries signed an agreement to prevent, reduce and remove space debris.
These 12 countries are: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden & the United Kingdom
