So this ink was very meh for me.

Lamy Violet Blackberry

As you can see on the swatch card, it’s purple. And it has good flow to it.

On the Hobonichi paper, it’s dark purple if you squint. Camera couldn’t get it, but it’s like a very matte dark purple.

I guess sort of like the actual blackberry.
And less controversial than its cousin Dark Lilac.

Good thing I just got a pack of cartridges to try instead of a bottle!

@inkycicada I found my Rhodia notepad and decided to do some sample writing in both Lamy Violet Blackberry and Dark Lilac 2024 (samples), and was surprised how different they look on that paper compare to Tomoe River. I think other more experienced fountain peeps would be like, “duh,” but I don’t use Rhodia much at all, and I forget it has different performance from Tomoe River. (1/2)
😅 Both inks didn’t sheen as much and were discernible as dark blackberry or lilac shades, instead of being completely taken over by brown/golden or green sheens, respectively. #StillLearning (2/2)
@inkycicada looks very similar to Ink of Witch by Bungubox. Similarly dark purple almost black.
@paradoxmo some of the swatches I saw looked like it had some sheen online. I thought the card and tomoe would catch it but not so.
