so sad spinning disks are slower and more fragile. I would totally wanna save my data on a little spinny thing in my computer ^w^
@fleckenstein Yeah me too
Well I actually still use spinning disks to Store most data like for archival purposes
@LED2000 meanwhile me with a 4TB SSD
@fleckenstein @LED2000 for archival spinny disks are better bc

for the price of 4tb ssd, you can get 20tb hdd

@navi @fleckenstein Actually, i have even more SSD Storage in my PC lol
I have 2 1TB SSDs, 1 2TB SSD and a 500GB one

But like i said to store big amounts of data i use external USB HDDs in different sizes, i think i have like 2 dozens of them and probably like 80TB of total Storage in external Hard Drives

@LED2000 @fleckenstein it's common to have ssds inside the pc

i meant more like, if your purpose is getting bulk storage for archival, and speed doesn't matter as much, hdds are waaay cheaper per/gb
@navi @fleckenstein Yeah definitely
SSDs are great for fast data transfers or like you said inside of a PC or especially Laptop for OS/Games and Files that are often accessed, but it would be waaaaay to expensive for me to buy like dozens of Terabytes in SSDs
@fleckenstein fragile spinny thing,,me fr
