Nailed in the battens. Ended up using a 3/16” pilot hole but I think a 7/32” would be better but I don’t have that kind of bit. #woodworking
While boring the first hole the auger bit got dramatically stuck. Ended up needing to use a hammer and a closed wrench to extract it. Brutal. #woodworking
And the legs fit! Need to trim them so it’s level, but it works! Will level them later today, somehow (don’t have a great flat surface to put them on, unless I carry this absurd 75lb table top upstairs.) #woodworking
Done! Sawed legs to the proper length. Will use it after tidying up outside. Pretty pleased. Old table in background #woodworking
