not to call ai a big woop of nothing but slack absolutely slaughtering any remaining trust they have in order to provide "emoji suggestions" is incredible

for context, slack is launching "AI Features" trained on global data

and you can tell it's being launched without purpose as the list of benefits includes "emoji autocomplete"

like

no-one in their right mind would go "so we're going to make every sab/ox customer panic, so slack knows if to use the party hat emoji or the party balloons emoji by default"

this is the funniest thing slack's done since they rebranded themselves as a tool for remote work, despite years of "no-one gets remote work at slack"
moore's law but it's the number of clowns in the clown car doubling every 18 months
@tef fitting more clowns inside the car, per cubic mm, is the whole point of the ever shrinking die feature sizes!
@tef Assuming the car is static in volume I am uncomfortable with the exponentially increasing clown density
@jonty thankfully the clowns are down to 12nm
@tef @jonty At some point the clowns are so small it becomes difficult to tell where one clown ends and another begins. This will spell the end of Clown Computing but improvements in Contortionist Computing look promising
@jonty @tef
That's how you get a nuclear fusion reaction.
@tef Yes? How else do you think clowns reproduce?
@tef that’s just salesforce normal growth model.
@tef "And that, little ones, is how governments are formed!"
@tef moore's law but it's the number of bots on social media platforms doubling every 18 months
@tef I've long predicted my demise will come via clown car, this might just be the method.
@tef Isn't that just the current Government?
