Tip: If you want a suck-free Google experience, set this parameter as your default search engine.

Bevor Sie zur Google Suche weitergehen

By adding udm=14 to any Google URL parameter, it forces Google to present a knowledge-panel-free search.

That means no AI, no gaming the results, and as far as I can tell for now, no ads. It makes a great default search.

@ernie That could be changed at any time, and is useless for the vast majority of users. They're the ones I'm most concerned about, and the sites that Google is sucking the data from to feed their AI and giving nothing in return, not even views. Hiding the answers is not a solution, in fact, it helps perpetuate the problem.

@lauren On the other hand, it is the purest form of Google we’ve seen in quite some time. I think power users should have the option to turn off the knowledge panels.

Maybe this isn’t great for normies, but I also think using this sends a message that folks do not want the new changes.
