thx for the OggCamp shout, I might even make it this year

re. notes:
single developer/small team apps are too fragile for future compatibility for me
then again, Automattic (or other) may screw up along their way as well
which leads me to something like org-mode or at least flat file storage in a widely used markdown variant

re. notes II
when I was a shill g** d*** OneNote was killing it as reference tool due to more or less perfect OCR search of any screenshot
re. email search, I believe it was a topic in this episode, I highly recommend Thunderbird as a gmail/outlook/any cloud account house keeper. Excellent search and filter options.
Same for podcast or www feeds in its rss module, I don't think there's a more efficient global search tool, across all my subscriptions, anywhere online.
re. pixelfed
I'm on my 2nd year now. The community is lovely and it's easy to find your preferred styles through tags. Basically no spam at all.
As mentioned re. notes apps it's a one man show, young kid with a bright future, hopefully incl. pixelfed for many years to come - https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/graphs/contributors
I also hope (am clueless tbh) that the activitypub protocol is futureproof and allows easy migration if needed. Ideally also allows a merge into a self/cloud hosted private instance.
