@saffronflight Really enjoyed the first one. It jumps between the present and the past quite a lot and some of the past sections were a bit lengthy and confusing at times. But the gimmick of gay teens drinking absinthe to connect to the spirits of long dead gay people and relive their stories and it helping them with their life, is such an over complicated, insane, but at the same time amazing concept. Also the characters are really well written and I got really invested with them. The first book had one of those scenes, where something bad is happening to a character and I suffered with them so much, it took me several attempts and a few days to get through it. Overall a very interesting read.
