Well,I guess that's that, then.

Soldier of Sidon is a fine work, and perhaps the best thing about it is that it leaves room for a fourth novel.

A single tear rolls down this reader's cheek. There will be no fourth novel.

Soldier of Sidon: Wolfe and Latro have aged very well | Fantasy Literature: Fantasy and Science Fiction Book and Audiobook Reviews

@pjohanneson I’ve been saving Soldier of Sidon so I can prolong the ending. Latro 1 & 2 might be my favorite book of his. #genewolfe

@theowatson Yeah, I get that. I have heard of people who still won't read The Shepherd's Crown so that their walk with Sir Terry Pratchett won't be over yet.

(I think my fav. Gene Wolfe might be The Fifth Head of Cerberus, but the Wizard Knight is pretty high on the list too.)

@pjohanneson oh yes! Both are great. I want to reread 5th Head though as it was early in my reading and I don’t think I was on the look out for all the Wolfe tricks at that time.
@theowatson I think I'm going to reread Peace sometime this summer—3rd read—because it has some bearing on two writing projects I'm working on, one more directly than the other.
