"UIs are trend-driven, and need to change every release." it's exhausting. if the primitives are great, grow with those and change with their releases, reduce churn.
platform APIs take into consideration all the form factors, user preferences and needs. the less we use those, the more work the design systems takes upon itself and may get wrong or build once but let rot.
