Solid defaults and package management via a sleek GUI app with focus on flatpak apps.
I do think it helps that its mostly Ubuntu under the hood too, so they can search for Ubuntu help topics and get very close to all right answers for problems.
(I could be a bit too deep to see from the eyes of a new user now... Could be I am too biased in Ubuntu idioms)
