Tonight: over to Ridgewood for some outlaw country rips. Sarah Shook is on my why-isn't-she-bigger? list, although drawing anyone out to TV Eye on a Sunday night is impressive. She rules, says me, and her band, the excellently-named Disarmers, kicks ass. Everyone here knows that and so should you.

And finally (and, considering the work week I'm about to have, I need a late night show on a Sunday like I need a kick in the nuts), how could I resist a return to Baby's All Right for Mikaela Davis. How she drew the 11pm set on a Sunday, I'll never know, her band may very well be the best thing going right now, I say without hyperbole. Just a magical sound and energy. Worth trading a couple hours of sleep for.
