@ia I’ve struggled to work paper into my routine of late. I have an e-ink tablet that’s meant to replace that role, but even then … I haven’t found the right spot for it.

@ernie @ia paper notebook/Notes app -> TextEdit as plain text font size 11 -> Gdocs. I keep a notebook for each project (day job/garden journal see the most traffic) and have them handy in all parts of the house. My dad's influence, especially the garden journal.

Working on a project for academic notes now, curious to know what y'all find out.

@ginevra thanks for sharing this.

In 24hrs or so we'll Boost the results so please be sure to check back. ☺️

@ernie Finding the right balance may be tough at first, but you should see benefits when you do. 😉
@ia typed and handwritten, but all digital. Goodnotes is my digital notebook.
@thorms11 Thanks for sharing Thor! If we run this back we'll need to consider adding this as an option too. 👍
@ia Pen and paper outline usually in an A5 notebook, next a Freewrite Traveler draft. I then pull it into a word processor for editing, and double check the grammar using Grammarly or CoPilot. Lastly, the next day, back into a word processor for a final read and edits.
@josephdickson A number of steps, but sounds like this works a treat for you. 👌Thanks for sharing.
@ia Digital pencil on iPad.
@donkey we're gonna need to include handwriting (digital only ) if we poll again. Thanks for sharing! ☺️
@ia I voted all digital for now. I have a strong desire to work pen and paper in somehow, but what stops me is my aversion to storing or keeping any notebooks once they’re full!

@trystan it's true that adding paper brings storage/portability concerns for some. We think writers will want to showcase/hang on to the iA Notebook though. 😎

Thanks for taking the time to vote here and share!

@ia have been doing a lot of voice dictation directly into Writer and then polishing on keyboard from there. Have also experimented some with dictation into Presenter and then exporting to Writer, at least for writing that is story-oriented.
@luis_in_brief thanks for sharing Luis. ☺️

@ia sadly I didn’t make on time before the survey closed.
I plan digital, usually on mindmapping applications and then start plotting.

For academic works it is all about gathering references and start the writing work. Sadly for academic in particular the writing goals are essential to carefully plan different sections and balance the work.
