@iro_miya @ripper Q: is that a silver-painted #TelH78 right next to ya?
@kkarhan @ripper it is indeed a telephone booth, it's an iconic element of this space, I don't know if it's that specific model though... It is an Austrian phone booth, if that helps! – Anita
@iro_miya @ripper I guess the Austrian Telco also bought #TelH78 from Quante, just like #DTAG in #Germany did...
@kkarhan @iro_miya @ripper No idea if they are from Quante but they're not completely identical. The doors don't go to the bottom! And I see three Windows instead of two.

@1000millimeter @iro_miya @ripper interesting indeed.

AFAICT Quante merely offered the complete package, but had the actual phone booth made by someone else...

  • And I guess for Austria whoever made it decided to do these changes - likely to make them more robust against higher estimates of salt and snow in the winter and reduce repair costs in case of vandalism (smaller windows = cheaper replacement part) or to make it last longer (i.e. so a "roof avalance" or sth isn't going to fold it in as fast?

Or it was just a differentbdesign option offered if not from the original designer than maybe the firm they worked for or compatitiors because whilst certain gemetric designs may be cooyrightable, a phone booth as concept isn't...
