Pei Ming had a conscience. This was an undeniable fact, despite the assumptions others made about him. He was a cutthroat business man who'd had countless dalliances, all ending with the other party's heart being broken, so it made sense.
And his conscience told him to not flirt with that cute barista who'd just tripped and fell and spilled his coffee.
At the same time, however, even as Pei Ming tried to help clean up the mess, it was tempting to try and get the barista's number... No. Maybe next time.
(Pei Ming was so regretful at not getting his number that when the man remade the drink and bashfully handed it over, Pei Ming didn't notice the other man had written his own number on the cup, and threw it away without a second glance when he was done.)
