I had embraced Ubuntu and its statement of respect for users.
I was disappointed with Ubuntu 22.04 and saw that it violated this ideal by forcing updates. (At least I was able to permanently remove Snap.)
I would not install a newer Ubuntu unless and until I had exhausted every alternative.
SomeAnoTooter@johnlogic @itsfoss thank Linus and co for Linux and it's mangy derivatives. I happily will use something different then Ubuntu.
