Been playing a bit more of the Piko 4 cart on Evercade.

The headliner is obviously Glover, and probably the entire reason the cart exists in the first place. I can see why it’s thought of as a hidden gem on the N64.

The digital controls work well enough, but I’m going to give it a go in an emulator because I think it’ll really shine with an analogue stick.

The other standout for me so far is Star X. Never even heard of it, but it’s a Star Fox clone for GBA. A lot of fun.

@BillyCupid That's the thing with the Piko carts. They tend to have a decent amount of games, but the consistency in quality is usually lacking.

One or two stand outs and a couple of curiosities.

@CherryLambrini yeah, you sometimes wish they’d maybe show a bit of restraint and not just cram the carts with everything they have available at the time.

There’s a bit of work gone into Glover - they’ve patched in references to Evercade as well as a digital control scheme that works well on a d-pad etc. but the same can’t be said of the other games on the cart. Star X, for example, (which I really like) references the wrong buttons (A instead of B, and vice versa).

@BillyCupid Aye, the button mapping is a bone of contention for a lot of the carts. It's especially bad considering they use the Nintendo layout. 😄

At least the PS1 games are easy enough to remember. That's permanently burned into my memory.
