Daring Fireball
@daringfireball @gruber Um, I just turn on the mouse and IIRC press some button and MacOS recognizes it and I’m off to the races? There is this dorky Logitech software that I downloaded once and looked at and decided I didn’t need it. So obvs this is gross but probably doesn’t affect many people?
@timbray @daringfireball @gruber unfortunately for one of the most popular Logitech mice (MX Master), the back/forward buttons are recognized, but the prominent “gesture” button needs Logitech’s software AFAIK
@robmathers @timbray Have you tried it with SteerMouse?
@gruber @timbray it’s been a while since I tried, but I don’t think it worked when I did. I gave up on the gesture button and just use https://github.com/thealpa/SaneSideButtons for pretty good back/foreward support.

@gruber @robmathers @timbray can confirm that it works with steermouse. Went on this journey last weekend.
