Some Of The Most Beloved 🩷 Street Art By Greg Goya.
@streetartutopia ngl, I love how the line between "vandalism" and "street art" is so fine. :')
@streetartutopia I still remember when a Singaporean artist did such guerrilla street art here. Unfortunately they were later arrested for vandalism, which led to a huge outcry here; many people felt their art wasn’t exactly damaging and was more meant to amuse than to annoy. After pressure from the people, they were ultimately convicted on lesser charges of mischief and sentenced to probation, being required to report to a day reporting centre; …

@streetartutopia …they were later invited by several companies to do art and art installations for them, including the company that runs the Sentosa resort island where they put up several satirical signs in a similar spirit to the guerrilla art that got them in trouble with the law in the first place.

@streetartutopia omg. I love the spirit of joy and love and fun in all these amazing ideas!
@streetartutopia @hastar This is the kind of stuff we need! What if we spent the money and time on this instead of advertising in the public space?
@streetartutopia Unintentional street art: In Switzerland, the pushbuttons on traffic lights to request green for pedestrians read "FUSSGAENGER DRUECKEN" - In Swiss German, this stands for "Pedestrians, press (here)" - but in standard German, it could also be read as "Push Pedestrians" or, cuter, "Hug Pedestrians".
I think @Fuchskind even made a comic about this once?
@streetartutopia @amcewen I live for this shit!

@sabreW4K3 @streetartutopia it's great isn't it?

I also loved that part way through I was all "wait, that's Turin!" as I recognised the locations from when I lived there 😀
