This is certainly the best, most liberating interpretation of that doctrine, and I use that interpretation when appropriate, when speaking within that space.
But I've also stepped outside of that space, and recognized that within the full context of the Bible (even if only placing in it context of the Gospels) authoritarianism, hierarchy, feudal/monarchist ideas are spread throughout. We've got to do extra work to get this reading. It doesn't come naturally. Many abusers talk about love all the time, too. It's a smokescreen. The rest has to be unpacked.
I'm willing to promote the most liberated versions of Christianity I can find. But I'm also willing to question the whole shebang, and I think Christianity has done more harm to the world than good. And most of its goodness is just undoing its own harms. We'll feed the poor but not change the reasons they are poor in the first place.
