@petergleick Nothing in that article supports your assertion that it was a "trick." Nothing supports the journalist's assertion that other journalists "conned" the public. And the main claim of the article, that the law wasn't actually repealed, is only true if you subscribe to your own definition of "repeal" that demands that repeal be immediate, which isn't actually the dictionary or common meaning of the word.
@petergleick The warnings about the delayed effect and possibility of reversal are legitimate. But the rest is overheated, inflammatory, and - frankly - conspiratorial.
