The http://alt-text.org alt text library project needs a new leader, I have brain cancer.
I built a working, scalable, proof of concept library of shared alt text with fuzzy matching.
I'd like to connect with the #accessibility dev community. I want to hand the project off to a team or a leader if anyone is willing to take it over.

I posted about brain cancer and hope to find people to pick up the torch on my accessibility projects that I think could help make the web better. I have a major surgery May 29th and time is short. I will only become less able. I don't think I have the bandwidth to take over myself, but will keep an eye on opportunities to contribute.
@hannah this sounds awesome! however, I don't really understand what it does. Can I put it into a screenreader or similar, then get alt text for unlabeled UI elements, for example? if so, what languages can this be used with? web assembly for non js hosts maybe?
And yeah, brain cancer probably sucks a lot, life is so freeking unfair sometimes, how good people have to die, while milionaires seemn to live in a happily ever after universe. In any case, hope you get better, treatments work, etc, and virtual hugs from this side of the fediverse!
