This statement aligns pretty well with my perception of the world.
This is really good. Like really really good.
The Solution:
@AnarchistArt #Alt4You 2-frame cartoon. Frame 1 is titled "how you imagine the trolley problem", and shows the usual trolley problem (trolley approaching fork in tracks, 5 people tied down dead ahead and only 1 on the side fork, figure at the switch ready to throw it), with the figure at the switch labeled "you".
Frame 2 is titled "How it's actually going to be". Now the person at the switch and the 1 on the side have top hats and bags of money. "You" points to one of the 5 on the main line.
@AnarchistArt *Love* how people like to pretend that the trolley problem is a thought experiment 🙄
When they choose a hamburger, the death of an animal, and their taste, over a falafel wrap.
When they choose to queue in front of an Apple store and buy the next-generation iPhone and its use of slave labour over their perfectly functional phone.
Spoiler alert: You're choosing unnecessary pain and misery.
