I would say it generated less than a tenth of the police response, a hundredth of the disruption, and a thousandth of the media attention that the Columbia administration's mishandling of campus protests has.
And this was a year and a half after 9/11! It's not like it was a period in U.S. history where people were setting off bombs and the government was all “Sure, whatever, no biggie.”
