New P500 arrival. Beautiful double-sided mounted board, with original map on the back.

How does GMT enable game import to Canada without added custom charges, but MMP & OSG are not able?

@brianrsmith

Are they shipping to an intermediary in Canada first?

@RomeDemandsStone or @nakedcardboard may know if that's not it.
@grayson @RomeDemandsStone @nakedcardboard GMT use UPS and ship directly to the destination. MMP & OSG only offer USPS, with shipping costs almost 55% more than GMT. One thing I noticed is the label by GMT states “board game”. Once a shipment from OSG stated “video game” as the contents 🤔👎. I don’t know if it matters, maybe it’s just the difference between UPS & USPS. Along with the dollar exchange, it is an expensive hobby for 🇨🇦
@brianrsmith @grayson @RomeDemandsStone I just avoid P500 almost entirely. Every once in a while I try it again on something I really want but it’s always more expensive than just buying from the local retailer. Like… $30-40 more expensive.

@nakedcardboard @brianrsmith @grayson Shipping to Canada is significantly more expensive but... I still do it. Wrt to the P500, I look at it as supporting a game I really want. I went all in with pumping Welcome to Centreville and never looked back (although I don't have that game anymore). I was very upset at the cost for the errata for Mr. President, however. And--I won't order Worthington Games from the US because of the $$$. I'll try and get those games locally.

Anyhoo... Depending on where you are, you might try Shiply which may cut costs for you.
