📄NEW: If Donald Trump is elected, what will it mean for US and global security? The history behind his motivations runs deep and is tightly connected to Putin's nuclear ambitions and his KGB past. My latest, and maybe most important, piece in Washington Spectator.

"A little-remembered magazine interview from 1987 may hold clues about what Trump and Putin are ultimately up to. What was on Trump’s mind back then — besides dispensing unsolicited foreign policy advice in full page newspaper ads? Nothing less than making a deal with the Soviets to jointly seize the world’s nuclear weapons and thus bring about world peace."

@davetroy The "thoughts" of an imbecile are... important? 🤔

What's important is why so many Americans can't see he's an imbecile.

@samueljohnson the issue is that his "thoughts" aren't his, and so many Americans are willing to discount the threat he poses because they don't understand him, or the context in which he is operating. Believe otherwise at your peril.
@davetroy I don't disagree, but reviewing his cognitive processes as if they had any coherence at all flatters him. He's a deeply disturbed and dangerous psychopath.
@davetroy Say goodbye to the fantasy of appreciating Trump as being a "normal political" *candidate*, but who's in fact an individual, whose occupation's name also starts with "c" & who actually belongs into a space, the term of which again starts with "c".
