I increasingly believe this election will be a referendum on whether anything matters anymore. There's no rational case for Trump, but there's a loud contingent on the left that just wants to burn it down. Combine that with low information voters and Republicans circling the wagons around their guy, and you have the outlines of a calamity.
Hopefully people wake up.

@GottaLaff Laffy, why do the left want to burn everything down? I understand that they want to, but I don't understand why they want to. If someone can explain that, that would be helpful to me. And the key question is, after everything is burned down, what are they going to replace the governmental structures with?

@ppesavento @GottaLaff Most of the people who think like this are bored, middle-class white guys who think a bloody revolution would be exciting. They think things need to get really bad to "wake up" the masses who will then take to the streets. Afterward, they'll have an anarchocommunist Utopia where every guy gets their own weed farm and no one ever needs surgery or sewage processing plants.

Some of them are also just nihilists.
