@itsfoss I have forgot about gaming overall, maybe play about 2 hours a week. But can't lie, gaming sucks on linux. No matter what they say, as a fairly competent user, I run into all sort of issues. Tried different ways, different distros, it's still a pain in the ass.
@itsfoss I'm using both, so... My gaming experience on Linux is provided mostly by Steam Deck, and I don't miss anything there but some games are not available on Linux properly (like Minecraft Dungeons). Rest of my games are running on console, and some others, Steam for Windows.
@itsfoss Nearly no issues via Steam (Proton) on Fedora. Some anticheats cause issues for multiplayer, but nearly all games I have tried work out of the box.
@picturavis@itsfoss this is my experience on fedora as well. I'm even thinking of migrating my gamer dad once windows 10 support ends. It's that smooth.
@itsfoss over all, I use my Linux Laptop way more often than my Windows Desktop to game. I like multiplayer, so sometimes something does not work as intented or I need to tinker around (with Nvidia or Steam arguments), but it's working like 96% of the time and I love it ;)
@itsfoss Not at all! Civilization (my all time favorite), Cities skylines, Stellaris, Godhood, Crusader kings, Age of wonders, Rogues state revolution... I can play more than I have time and want to on Linux. Changing to Pop OS made it very easy.
