True/cute story.
We went to Barcelona when our youngest was 5. At airport security the official (for some mad reason) motioned to our 5 year old to raise his arms to be patted down. 5 year old misunderstood the gesture, of course, and so hugged him instead. Cutest thing ever, poignant too.
There was this one time when my family (European Kiwis) were going through Calcutta customs and there was a big line of us taking it in turns to be patted down by this stern soldier looking guy.
When it got to me and my brother's turn (aged 8 - 10 etc) we got a pat on the head instead.
