Here we have the laughing skycoon.
In other news, I am a little disappointed in how soft the 2x teleconverter makes the 70-200 lens. Not sure if it’s a focusing issue or just limitation of the optics.

@jerry It's been a few decades since I was into photography to the point of buying lenses, but I once got a telephoto lens that I also felt wasn't right. I took it back and we tried a few others of the same brand and found a bad batch. Lens quality was bad unless the stock was older.

This was at Wolf Camera which used to be in front of the Tara Theater on LaVista. I had to look it up to see if it was still there. Looks like Wolf has moved. That used to be my favorite place to get fancy gear.

@jerry I’d be curious to see a comparison between teleconverter on a good prime lens vs a longer zoom.
@o0_o after I changed the auto focus a bit, the teleconverter on the 70-200 turned out pretty good. I would expect they TC+a good prime wound be better than a zoom by a lot
@jerry iirc you can calibrate for front/back autofocus
@o0_o indeed. What ended up fixing it was disabling the 3d focus mode and going with the regular field of focus points.
@jerry I saw a youtube video that said young brits are into birds, but at a certain point they all get old enough they get into birds.
