Whilst researching a "groovebox" for making my own backing tracks to play along to with my bass (an instrument with strings), I've learned that the word "producer" more has two meanings.

Originally "producer" meant somebody who knows their music theory inside out as well as being able to play instruments and can direct a band to make a banging record. Like #rickbeato.

The other sort mostly knows sweet FA about music but can tap some buttons in time, maybe.
