Anyone know what’s going on here? Deer and coyote having a moment. Spotted just outside Point Reyes Station by tor_one5. Deer not having it
@thewestmarinfeed wow that's really something!! The coyote must have gotten on the deer's last nerve!

@Jennifer @thewestmarinfeed

I know that llamas will attack any canine. (They are fantastic at guarding farms from wild predators.)

I haven't heard of deer doing the same! I wonder if there was a fawn nearby? πŸ€”

@5ciFiGirl @thewestmarinfeed I didn't know llamas attack other animals. That brings a really funny picture to my mind. Attack llama!! πŸ˜†

@Jennifer

Yep! πŸ˜€

Some people have guard dogs to protect their livestock from predators, and other people have guard llamas! πŸ¦™

(But you can't have a guard llama and *also* have a a guard dog or herding dog, for fairly obvious reasons! πŸ˜‰)

Here's an interesting article on the subject (I had to skip over a bunch of LLM garbage to find this.😀)

Anyway, I don't think its paywalled, I clicked "keep reading" and read the whole thing: 😎

@5ciFiGirl @thewestmarinfeed I find this absolutely hilarious πŸ˜† We have trouble with dogs coming onto our property, I've started carrying pepper spray when I'm outside just in case, and now I kinda want a guardian llama!!
