The Sound's 'Propaganda' was recorded in 1979, before they released their debut album 'Jeopardy', and is the earliest material they ever recorded.
It was not released until 1999 on Renascent Records, more than 10 years after the band broke up.

Vocalist Adrian Borland was involved in the remastering process and took his own life on 26 April 1999, the day of the album's release.

It was considered by the band to be their true first album.
