IBM Buys HashiCorp To Control The Alternative To Red Hat Kubernetes - Lemmy

Those are very different things….
Yea, I am very confused by the headline. Maybe if it compared Openshift to Kubernetes…
But Kubernetes has nothing to do with HasiCorp?
HashiCorp Nomad is a competitor to Kubernetes: www.nomadproject.io
Nomad by HashiCorp

Nomad is a simple and flexible scheduler and orchestrator for managing containers and non-containerized applications across on-prem and clouds at scale.

Nomad by HashiCorp
Interesting, never heard of it

I used to run it at home. It’s actually kinda nice.

I think Roblox runs it’s infrastructure on it.

Is it worth checking out? Any advantages/disadvantages over Kubernetes?
Yeah worth considering, gets stuff done with less complexity than k8s. Teams that choose it seem to delivery more quickly IME.
Thanks, I'll try it out
