Today on Threads, we’re expanding Hidden Words, which until now only were applied to replies, so you can filter out unwanted content from feeds, search, profiles, and post replies on Threads. We’re also testing ways to select who can quote you and the ability to mute notifications on your posts. I hope these features give you more control over your experience on Threads and help keep it a place for positive conversation. Let me know what you think, especially if you’re in the tests.
The first two words I'm hiding are "Trump" and "Biden"

So over it lol
Heck friggin yes!

See ya “normalize”!
@mosseri will be hard to port some of this over to fediverse

@Techronic9876 @mosseri I was understanding this to be a client app feature? If so, we just need any Fediverse apps to offer the same type of feature.

Subway Tooter app offers blocking of keywords, but I think it blocks visibility of the whole post (which I do use), and not just words inside a post.

@danie10 @mosseri I was thinking more the selecting who can quote you thing
I’ve been wondering about the “24 hour notification bell” attached to any Threaders Threads posts. I tested it and unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work. Possible fix for that? (The “profile notification bell” works great tho)
Buh bye “Musk” 👋
This will go a long way towards hiding all those horrible pornbot profiles that somehow manage to add themselves as followers on a daily basis, especially given the limited number of saucy keywords they deploy.
Oh wow lol I was using hidden words like this the entire time and just assumed it was a bug. Nice
This will be super helpful when talking about controversial topics like…sports! 🤪 No Patriots haters will be in my Threads! 😂
Thanks! Looking forward to this, mostly so I can block all the annoying Wordle results posts. But also, @mosseri: please add this feature to @facebook and @instagram. Badly needed everywhere.
CHRONOLOGICAL FEED AND TRENDING TOPICS PLEASE!!!
