A comment on a recent YouTube video implied that I only liked one product more than another because the UI was nicer in one of them.

Yes…that's like my whole deal 😂

@matt wow busted they really got you better shut the channel down
@robb It’s just feature checklists from now on!
@matt dude, I hear you. I get this all the time. If I like something I like something, and if I don't I don't. I say it the way it is. Some people think I'm a sold to one brand or that I'm rolling in doe because I'm paying paid to be a sponsor and of course in some instances (yeah I list it, if I'm being paid) and other times, I'm not. People just need to take a chill pill. LOL

@matt My wife was in the room when I watched it she was like ”other browsers or such and such extension has that”, and I just told her: ”Aside from the tab/bookmarks which is completely original, none of Arc is totally new, but their UI for things are always way way better than anything else”.

And yeah, their UI is just wonderful. While I know they're a big VC-backed company, in some ways they feel like a high quality indie Mac app. Like if Cultured Code made a browser or something. Really polished but also quite playful. Such a great app (LLM bullshit aside, which thankfully I can keep turned off).

@matt that's how I make a lot of decisions on what to use or buy -- which UI is nicer
@matt Absolutely. This is why I recently moved away from Apple Music to Tidal. I feel the UI is better/nicer. Some will disagree which is perfectly fine.
@sinky Haha, funnily enough I'm about to get to the end of my Tidal trial! I liked it more than Spotify, I'll definitely give it that! (I'm an albums guy more than a playlists guy, which is apparently what Spotify is all about)

@matt The times i go on Spotify (free version) it now seems so clutter. I think it’s partly due to not just having music, but also podcasts and books.
If it’s one thing i want from any music app is it just plays music, and not to be diluted with other stuff not music.

I also have speakers that play Hi Res music and Spotify sounds really bad compared to the services with Hi Res.

Have you tried Qobuz? That’s another one i like too. I think you can get a month free trial.
