Equal work deserves equal pay.
And equal pay needs transparency.
One year ago, the EU Pay Transparency Directive was approved, bringing us a step closer to equality.
This is particularly important for women, who still earn less than men for the same work.
These rules will help end pay discrimination by ensuring:

It would be nice to see expected pay rates included in all job listings. It would make things so much easier all around.
@floindr @EU_Commission one possible measure is pay compared to seniority, because many companies give raises regularly based on some sort of evaluation
If on average we see that a group receives less raises, or smaller ones, there is one inequality.
That said, this can be true in many sectors, but in general our salary will depend on our market value, which is something intangible, it is affected by our culture. The point is that transparency can help break unjust practices by undermining their cultural context
