I passed on an apartment I had already paid the "hold" deposit because my conveyancer called asking if I had noticed the "constant special levies" on the strata report. I don't know what happened but I thank her to this day. When I questioned the agents about it they said that if they knew of any issues they were obliged by law to tell me... And they "did not" and believed everything was fine. The whole thing is rotten

@mojo Indeed, the thing is weird. Insane ever increasing prices for dodgy work. I ended up getting a unit across the street from that particular building and that thing went back on the market for months before itnwas taken off. I have to assume someone ended up buying the hot potato. Buying units here often seems like buying used cars in overdrive (due to the prices). I guess the ones who do well regardless are the realos #auspol #ausproperty
