@ewenbell

Thank you @ewen so much for sharing the #Kathmandu video. Beautiful photos. And it brought me straight back to that amazing place I visited in 2010 while I wrote my Master’s thesis.

Recognized many of the location. Such an amazing place! #nepal

@[email protected] Thankyou Carl :) What was your thesis on?
@ewenbell Sustainable infrastructure through tourism.
@[email protected] Oh wow. The intersection of tourism and sustainability is such a fascinating area. Definitely something I wish more governments and communities would dig into before putting resources into boosting tourism.

@ewenbell It is extremely interesting. Especially since many developing countries have a lot of tourism. People want to come and experience what they do not have in their own countries. My focus was not on the travel aspect, but how incomes via tourism could be used to improve basic infrastructure such as sanitation. Also one small aspect was the observation of how NGO’s did not coordinate or cooperate.

So much to study within that field.

So pretty! You certainly did get the light 🙂
@[email protected] Kathmandu is pretty special. That sense of being on the edge of the Himalayas.
