NonilexJustice #Merchan’s swearing-in of the first 6 official jurors in the trial brought us closer to the conclusion of vetting for the first batch of prospective #jurors.
On Mon, 96 of them were brought into the courtroom. All but 12 have been dismissed for bias, scheduling conflicts & peremptory strikes. That left 6 who were named as jurors & 6 more who still must be questioned by lawyers on both sides Tues afternoon.

#Merchan then swore in a new large pool of prospective jurors who will take their turns in the box later this week, starting the process again. Merchan will name 12 jurors & 6 alternates.
As another 6 jurors started going through their questionnaires, #Trump reportedly again appeared to close his eyes & tilt his head from side to side.
Juror questioning continued, Trump looked at something on his lawyer’s phone, then his eyes closed again & his head dipped slowly.
